Rain, Rain, Rain

It has rained every day this week.



The sun is out.



Hydrangeas are starting to bloom

The lake is up a little more.

I planted some hostas.  The deer have not found them yet!

The Marina is under water.

The lake is at 482 just five feet from the 487 flood pool.  It has not been this high since 2008.

Our boat is on B dock, the same dock as the Marina office and shop, so we can get to it without being ferried out. 

It was really windy and rough water without the levee to protect the boats, so Al checked out his boat.

You can see the flag pole that is usually 16.75 feet above normal of 461.44.

The parking lot is gone.

 

You can see the flood water mark from April 2008, when the lake was at a record 486.3-feet, on the building to the right.

Birthday

We had a birthday party on Saturday. Margaret, Rob, Robert, Rochelle and Dave came over for dinner.

We takled to Cameron on the computer at dinner.  She gave everyone a tour of her new house.

 

The musical candle on my cake was on it's last leg.



Robert sang his version of Happy Birthday.

Margaret and Robert came in town for a quick visit.  We went down to the river to see the flood.

At the visitors center Robert thought this statue looked like his Daddy.



This is the spot on Mud Island that Al Roker on the Today show gave his report.  Those houses are three stories, the first is under water.

Cameron's New House

Here are a few pictures of the new house.  The pictures I took of the front and bedrooms were too dark.  This is really a very cute house.  There is hardly any traffic on the street.
